Opportunity Summary
We are actively looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team on various commercial and multi-family projects. Reporting to the Project Director and supporting the project team, you will be part of a team that collaborates to drive creative solutions for our clients and external/internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Project Management team & Superintendents to ensure that delivery of critical project elements is expedited and completed.
- Contribute to management of all aspects of the project including profitability, schedule adherence and customer expectations.
- Processing subcontracts and purchase orders, as well as Prime and Subcontract progress claims.
- Process all change orders, including assessing cost and schedule impact.
- Preparing site documentation.
- Coordinate RFIs with project team and coordinate with Architects and Engineers for timely responses.
- Develop and maintain important construction tracking logs (I.E. RFI log, Submittal log, plan log, etc.)
- Performing routine site visits and attending site meetings as requested by Project Management team, documenting, and distributing associated meeting minutes.
- Assist with all change orders and communicating with project management team to determine next steps.
- Coordinate all facets of project close-out, including archiving of documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
- Identify and review and process submittals.
- Contribute to all aspects of the project including profitability, schedule adherence and customer expectations.
- Contribute to maintaining project safety culture.
- Work with accounting department to ensure project accounting is accurate and timely.
- Review subcontractor applications for payment.
- Able to review plans and subcontractor scopes of work for estimating process.
- Job duties will vary depending on projects and as assigned.

Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education in a Construction Management or Engineering related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience working in construction project management or field experience considered an asset.
- Familiarity with drawings, contract administration, document management, scheduling software and change order procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with Procore experience considered an asset.
- Experience or willingness to learn Lean construction methods.
- Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, methods, and procedures.
- Excellent relationship building and track record of integrity when dealing with Clients, Trades and Consultants.
- Excellent organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with a variety of people.
- Experience using MS Project or other PM software.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
